Note from the artist: my practice is concerned with the revealing of mechanics behind both illusion and representation. There is a sincerity present in the obvious trick, the basic, awkward trick that is actually absent of deceit - a ghost under a blanket, an eyeball without a hole in which to live. My paintings aim to touch on the contemporary notion of post-truth and what it means to engage in an illusion already revealed or obvious.
