earthr

earthr is an artist duo created in 2021 in Brooklyn by artist Rob Rose (he/him) and artist and curator Earth Aengel (they/ them) @earth_aengel.
Their first group show was at the gallery Petty Cash in Brooklyn, NY.
They showcased their most recent collection FEAST OR FAMINE in London, at the Goldsmiths MFA show, class of 2022. They just completed a body of work in Portugal at Rama Art Studios @_ramastudios_ tilted Twister, which will be shown in Lisboa in the Spring of 2023. They will be showing a new body of work in April of 2023 at Below Grand Gallery in NYC.
earthr highlights a queer narrative by using fantastical ecology-related materials such as rosin-based body wax, jewellery, found objects, and plants. earthr works through dissociative narratives around gender, class, climate anxiety, and community by combining painting and sculpture as one nonbinary fluid expression.
