Elliot is a multi-disciplinary artist with a formation in drawing and painting. While his practice of these two mediums is constant, he articulates them side-by-side with challenging ways to express his main interest: the memory. It can take various shapes, from conceptual installations to the realization of a documentary in 2021.
Elliott claims his ideas cannot be expressed in faithful ways. If he thinks of adapting Nietzsche’s reading of Beyond Good and Evil, he will produce a painting taking place in a Parisian crêperie.
If he means to represent the anxiety about technology, he will gather Prometheus, Mark Zuckerberg, and three-meters high figures of Spider-Man.
The reason for such detours might be found in a seeking for the ‘half-remembered, half-forgotten space of the reminiscence’ suggesting that his works should inhabit ambiguous, vague, woven areas. Or maybe it is in a desire to signify a society where abundance, saturation of images and interconnections are unavoidable notions.
Today, an interest in German thinkers has led Elliott to take part in an Erasmus in Berlin while he is undergoing his last year of Master studies in Fine Arts at the Chelsea College of Art in London. He had previously graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts in France, where he is originally from.
